Thermostat won’t stay charged

My nest thermostat has been wonderful for 2 years now but all of a sudden it won’t hold a charge. 
When it began happening a couple months ago I could “manually” charge it and it would last several weeks but now I am having to manually charge it every 2-3 days for hrs.

I see others are having the same issues now.  Has something changed with these thermostats?

is it time to go purchase a different brand? Especially since there is no way to talk to a representative?

so beyond frustrated now!

Same issues .. what’s to do do ?

Same issue here, this is the second Nest thermostat this has happened to. Last time at least it was under warranty.

A few questions: What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? If you are using either the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, are you using a micro-USB cable to charge it? For how long did you charge the thermostat, and for how long does it stay charged?

Every time I take it off to charge it , it holds a charge for less time. This is second nest learning thermostat this has happened to. I’m switching to an ecobee

My battery was defective.  It was replaced by google.

How did you get them to reply or contact them?
