Thermostat won’t stay connected to WiFi or stay charged.

My nest learning thermostat randomly disconnected from my wifi 4 months ago, will not reconnect or even recognize any network. Now it won't hold a charge either on the base or by USB.

Hi there SlSmith,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

Not having your thermostat be able to connect to your internet can be frustrating. Don't worry, I can help!

Besides the low battery notification, have you encountered any error messages on your Nest thermostat related to the power supply?

I'd recommend taking a closer look at the wiring. Make sure all the wires are secured in their designated terminals.

While you're checking your wiring, charge your thermostat using a USB cable until it shows a level above the recommended minimum, which is typically around 3.8 volts. Once it's charged, let's try connecting it to a different internet source, like a mobile hotspot on your phone, to check if there could be any interference causing it to act this way.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel.
