Just did my install and had to do the metal plate over junction box. I could not get the ”short screws” through the thermostat base and trim plate, but I could without the trim plate. So now I have a net with exposed metal plate.
What size/thread are the ”short screws"? I figure if I buy slightly longer screws of the same thread I can finally mount the trim plate.
