Try fan before AC

The way my house is set up, turning just the fan on pulls cold air from downstairs and cools off the upstairs. With the heat/cool mode I understand there's 2 temperature setpoints, but I think a 3rd would be beneficial for just turning the fan on. Say 65 degrees for heat, 72 for the fan, and 74 for the air conditioning.  Then if the fan isn't enough to cool the house, the air will kick on at 74. I'm doing this manually at this time and I really wish it could be automatic.

@Deja , the Nest Learning series have the ability to program a fan schedule that is not temperature based. It goes time. You set the fan to cone on for 30 minutes.  Or you can set up a unique wiring that allow a call for heat or cooling to only activate the blower fan.
