I recently reset my thermostat, and now I can't make it stop preheating. "Early on" is disabled. It's loud and wakes me up in the early morning. We have a heat pump. I've read a few threads on this, but they don't have a solution. Any ideas?

Hello Margo22,
I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you, and I appreciate the steps you've taken. Let's see what's going on.
Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring? Also, is the heating constantly running or turns on unexpectedly?
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

Thanks so much -- oddly, it reverted to not doing the pre-heating. I'm not sure why, but I guess my problem is solved. (Now if I could only figure out how to prevent one room from being way hotter than the others.)

Hello Margo22,
Do you have a heat pump system? I did find a helpful article with some settings to be checked. Please let me know if that helps or if the issue still persists.
