Two Defective thermostats

olis
Community Member

One thermostat shows a W5 error and now can't reconnect to network. All recommended checks completed. Other nest thermostats are on the same network without problem and no external factors or interference has been introduced so it is a hardware issue.

It was suggested on an earlier thread that I try to

1. Press your Thermostat's ring > Settings > Software > Update > Connect.
2 Reset the network settings on the Nest Thermostat from Settings > Reset > Network.
3. Restart your thermostat from Settings > Reset > Restart.

I also have a second defect thermostat or heatlink which fails to connect over Mesh unless with about 5m of the each other rendering it useless as it isn't able to measure of the heating zone it is controlling.

Thank you for the information and troubleshooting done @olis . In this case I would recommend you get in touch with our colleagues over our support lines so they can create a case for you and look into how to further assist you. You can use this link here. Use the contact option and select the product. And make sure the correct country is selected if needed. Reach out over any of our support line options there and you can also have the link from here as well so they can check what info you provided on hand.
