Two wire system compatible?

I have a two wire thermostat, can I get a basic nest thermostat and nest power connector to work with my system?

Even though the online set up directions say I would need a third generation thermostat or the pro model.

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring and HVAC's system control board? What is your HVAC's make and model? Also, you could try our compatibility checker to see if your current system is compatible with the Nest Thermostat.
