Unacceptable customer resolution

Apparently, Google folks do not appear to concern themselves with a very common issue with thermostat loosing its ability to reset. The whole ‘entry pin’ problem was identified long ago as I have read the complaints dating back to 2021 and yet today, July 12, 2022 the problem persists and the company has done absolutely nothing about it.  Collectively we have all performed the troubleshooting suggestions many times to no avail. A complete fail. Recommending this product is no longer an option. Stopping someone from going this route is my new narrative.

I'd be happy to help you out, let me just ask you, what troubleshooting steps have you already tried for this issue? That way, I don't recommend steps you haven't already tried.
