Using Nest Thermostat as a stand alone sensor

SufferingCubFan

how May I use my Neat thermostat as a sensor without attaching it to the a/c and heat system. I just want it to monitor the temperature. When I try to attach it to the app it says not hooked to the system. I can power it with a charging cable from the ring camera

Hey SufferingCubFan,

Thanks for reaching out.

I'm afraid that our Nest thermostats needs to be connected to a compatible HVAC system in order to be set up and for you to enjoy their features. Check this out for more information: https://bit.ly/3r5mJvn
