Very Low Battery / replace now

Will I need to reprogram my Google Nest Thermostat after I replace the batteries, and exactly what type of batteries are recommended. (I do have a power supply connected ( c wire )).

Should I use regular alkaline or rechargeable lithium?

Thank you

If you have the "Nest Thermostat" you should replace the batteries with alkaline.

Normally the batteries will not discharge if there is a C (common) wire or a Nest Power Connector unless power has been turned off to the HVAC unit for an extended period of time. You may want to verify C is connected at both ends - thermostat and at HVAC wiring terminal.
