I have followed every troubleshooting step multiple times and I still keep getting the W5 error with no codes. What other steps can be taken or do I need a replacement Thermostat?

With your phone next to the thermostat, does your phone show a strong WiFi signal? If yes the then WiFi module or antenna inside the nest is bad.

I would suggest a replacement for your thermostat.
