Was logged out of nest app on iphone. Unable to log in

I was logged out of nest app on iphone and am unable to log back into my account.

I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps and even tried the forgot password aka password reset and have not even received the email with link to reset.

Are you sure you are using the same Google account you were previously using to log into the Google Nest app and Google Home app (the "Nest Thermostat" is only installed in the Google Home app)? I'm asking only because other customers in this forum have reported the same thing, only to discover they were inadvertently using a different Google account.

@MplsCustomer I am using the same gmail/account username, the one I used to set up the nest app the first time I had one in 2017.

When we got a nest for our new home, I used the same account and was able to get logged in and set things up and get everything running. Then several weeks later I was logged out and I am still not able to log into the account.

You should be able to log in by selecting "Sign in with Google".

You could try deleting and reinstalling your Google Nest app. You do NOT lose any settings when doing so. Earlier this year I deleted and reinstalled my Google Home app because I quit getting notifications.

Hello the exact same thing has happened to me. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting but to no avail. Also thermostat will not show the security key and seems to think I am still logged in. I only have one google account so I don’t understand why it will not allow my iPhone to re connect

Hey there,

 

Below are the steps on how to upload a photo or video:

 

  1. Start a new post or reply here.
  2. Click Insert Image.
  3. Choose an image source location.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions
  5. Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. Maximum attachment is 5 MB.
