Water not heating

Hedgie

I have a new Nest (3rd gen). I have worked out how to control my heating and hot water from the Nest App and all seemed to be working well. However as of yesterday it is no longer heating the water when I tell it to do. (The heating is still coming on). I have no idea what to do to sort this. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Are we talking a Heat Link in the UK here?

Yes! I'm just wondering whether the problem has occurred because I have just got a new phone and the Nest App is on both my old  phone and my new one? I'm about to  delete the app from my old phone and will then see whether the hot water comes on when I put it on on the app. Thanks for your reply

The amount of phones should not make any difference at all. I use 2 mobiles, an Ipad and a PC, all logged in on my account all using the same app. When you login to your account on anyones phone using the app, it should still work.

Does the water come on when you press the button on the Heat Link? That overides everything, I would check the basics first.

I assume you have both icons for Heating & Water in the app?

Ah ok!  Inexplicably the water has come on today. I didn't know we could activate the heating and hot water by pressing the button on the Heat Link but, if the problem happens again, it's useful knowing we can do this!.Thank you for your advice!

Hi, I wanted to check in. Is there anything else I can try and assist with?

Thank you for your message. My plumber has investigated and it appears that the problem is with our boiler, not with the Nest.

Many thanks
