Water source heat pump wiring

  • the picture wires are black, red, green, yellow and orange.
  • I think black is common, red is power, green is fan, yellow is cooling and orange is reversing valve.
  • Is this correct?
  • Thermostat is a xt500c Trane. It control's my Trane water source heat pump.

They have W (heat) jumpered to Y (AC) which is odd.

I would only use Y and set it up as a heat pump see if it works.

B should be your C (on Trane they call it B).

Red to RC

Then match up the rest the same as the old T stat.
