How do I know if the nest is charging properly

Hi @Emstellar,

 

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you want to know if your Nest Thermostat is charging. I'm happy to assist you.

Since your Nest Learning Thermostat maintains constant power, as long as you can confirm the voltage is within the required range when you press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu > go to Settings > Technical Info, the displayed information should match the information in the article "Nest thermostat information menu."

Only when needed, depending on the situation, you just have to remove the thermostat's display and plug in a charger. The LED light will turn green, indicating that it is charging.
