I have four nest thermostats in my home. Had to replace one that broke earlier this year and now Google is not going to let me use the nest app to control my thermostats anymore? Forcing us to buy new thermostats at $150 each is outrageous. My thermostats are working just fine. I’m not asking for continued updates or support but if the app is working, why are you discontinuing that access? this is unbelievable.
Has anyone replied to this post? No one is offering an app that will replace the Nest for remote access? This seems to be a relatively simple solution.
I will be purchasing a different brand, for sure,as I prefer to have phone access. I will not buy another Nest thermostat because precedent has been sent that they will eventually turn it off from phone access
