Hi Irish44,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that the Nest thermostat is turning on your furnace to reach a temperature of 89 degrees despite being set to 'away.' I'd be happy to help!

To better investigate the inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:

  • What is the model of your Nest thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
  • Are you using the Nest app or Google Home app?
  • Do other members of your household have phones that are attributed to the Home & Away feature, or are you the only one using it for your home?

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
