Why won't the fan run independently of heating/cooling?

I see the last time this issue was posted has been locked. This is a RIDICULOUS issue. We just had a brand new Nest Learning Thermostat installed with a fan wire. The dumbest thermostats ever could run the fan only. So I have to always re-set our heating/cooling point manually just to turn the fan on? Incredible. Wish we'd never done this.

Hello PaulaG,

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue programming your Nest Thermostat to run the fan independently. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

Can you give us more details on how you tried activating the fan? Please try to run a test in your actual thermostat's Equipment settings to ensure it is configured properly. Also, I did find a helpful article about the Nest Thermostat Fan Control and how to set it up to run the fan by enabling its schedule.

Keep me posted.

Regards,
Mark
