Excuse the rambling.
I have three learning thermostats, 2 work no issue, 1 has decided it can't connect if it finds the signal or find the wifi signal. In addition at times it is now slow to light up when pressed or when someone walks by.
Error Code: nest.com/w2, which suggests adding the mac address to the routers whitelist. I think I found out where to do so, but it says:
MAC Filtering
This feature is not available when Wi-Fi extenders are connected to your gateway.
Why would it suddenly want this after a year or more AND on only 1 of 3.

Hi lazyhound01,
Thanks for posting, and I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat shows W2 code. Parental controls or security settings on the router configures the thermostat not to connect to the Wi-Fi network. In this case, you need to reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or router manufacturer’s website for information on how to adjust parental controls and security settings because it varies between different routers, and some ISPs have special controls for these settings. Here are the most important recommended Wi-Fi network and router settings for use with Nest products. For more details, refer to the sections below.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Zoe

Thanks for the reply. Chatted with tech support and it turned out to be an issue with the display unit. Replaced under warranty and is working again.
I would mark as solved if I saw a way to do so.
