Wifi connection issues

I have set up two thermostats today, but when I attempt to set a third (in the same building), I can only get to the system test. The fan does come on, but the app goes back to the main Google Home screen. It is not leading me through the wifi set up, nor the naming of the device. I have removed the stat, initiated a factory reset, and started all over. It never lets me get past the system test. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your 3rd Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • How is  your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • Are you getting any messages after the system test?
