Will this wiring be Nest compatible

I having a hard time wiring my new Nest.  It doesn't like just green, white, and red wires only.  These are the only wires connected on the furnace side.  When trying to run the setup keeps talking about control wire.  Any help would be appreciated.

Can I just connect the blue wire to the C terminal furnace side, and then blue to the thermostat, to correct the problem?

Yes, you can connect the blue wire to the C terminal on each end, and I recommend you do it.

Just match the labels on your current thermostat with the labels on the Nest, and you can ignore the silver jumper between R and RC. The Nest will add it internally if it is needed.
