Hello! We recently moved into a house with a York heat pump (model YHJD30S41S4A) and existing Nest Thermostat. We did a factory reset of the thermostat to reassign the account and Wi-Fi. Great!
However, while heat produces heat and cool produces cool, the fan runs constantly… ALWAYS. The fan doesn’t shutoff, even with the Nest set to ‘Off’ and without a schedule set for the fan.
The previous owner claims it all worked perfectly for them (just weeks ago). Any ideas…?
Thanks, all 🙂

The green wire is for the fan.
You can try to remove G wire it at the nest and turn system back on see if fan still runs without the G wire connected. If it still runs go to the air handler and check if any wires are touching the G wire where they connect to the terminal strip screws.
If everything looks normal at the system end take pics of the control board etc.

Do you have a picture of the original thermostat's wiring that you can post here?
