Wiring help - Learning Thermostat Gen3

Clueless1
Community Member

I'm trying to install my new Nest thermostat and I've got a question on the wiring. My current thermostat has a wire going to W/E. Where would that go on the Nest?

Wires in my current thermostat= C, Rc(jumpered to Rh), O/B, W/E, G, Y

Hi Clueless1,

Thanks for posting in the community! It's my pleasure to assist you with this compatibility checking. The W/E wire should be connected in the W1 spot. Here you have a recommended wiring based on the information you provided:

But, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

  1. Do you have auxiliary heat?
  2. Can I get a photo of your current wiring?

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Axel.

Hi Clueless1,

Thanks for sharing that photo with me! Please try the recommended wiring in my first response above. It should work in that way without any problem.

Let me know how that goes.

Regards,

Axel.
