Wiring help for nest

Ranger
Community Member

Hey all,

im trying to wire my nest and I have my white wire landed in my W2 and jumper to E. I believe I have an heat pump. Would I be able to remove that jumper and just place the white into my W on the new nest?

Hi Ranger,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'm sorry for the delay. I'd like to check it further. Could you please share a photo of the wires that are currently connected to your thermostat?

Since Nest Thermostats don't need any jumper wire, you can just remove it.

Best,

Jenelyn
