I am trying to change my apartment thermostat to a Nest thermostat, but the wires don’t match the nest. Can someone tell me how to wire the nest to function correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey folks,
I appreciate your response, rylescu.
Just to add, the red wire going to the R terminal should be placed on RH or R on your Nest thermostat. Take off the jumper wire to RC as it won't be needed.

If this is a picture of your old thermostat, i think it's straight forward unless I'm missing something. The C (blue) wire goes to the C terminal of your Nest, Y to Y terminal, G to G terminal, W to W terminal.

Thank you for your helpful response. I did not realize the picture was uploaded with such poor quality. The jumper between R and RC confused me because the RC and RH are on opposite sides of the nest. I will connect it to RH, as you said. Thank you!
