Wiring help.

My old thermostat has a terminal marked "W/E" with a white wire connected. I'm guessing this is where the white wire on the Nest thermostat gets connected.  Please confirm if you're positive.  Google online chat was not helpful.

I had a similar issue with a different wire on my thermostat. The best thing I knew to do was open up the panel on the furnace and write down the color of wire and the actual letter on the furnace board. The previous thermostat wiring wasn’t 100% accurate so by looking at the actual furnace circuit board, it fixed my wiring issue with the Nest. Probably want to turn off the power to the furnace before checking into it, of course.
