Wiring nest learning thermostat 3rd gen

I am replacing a Honeywell Chronotherm III that is wired as follows:

white wire to O

white wire to W

white wire to G

Red wire to R on on to Rc

Blue wire to Rc

Blue wire to B

Yellow wire to Y

How should these be wired to the learning thermostat?

Thank you for your assistance.

Les

If you use the nest app to set it up, it will guide you through the wire connections.

The reason for my post is because the nest app said it needs more info and I should contact support.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out in the Google Nest Community forum. I suggest labeling your white wires to avoid confusion. It looks like you have a heat pump system. Are the red and blue wires connected to the same connector? To confirm, are the blue wires connected to RC and B are jumper wires? It will be a great help, if you will take a photo of the wires you have and share it with us. Ensure that the labels of the wires are visible.

I appreciate your input, @Jaytech.

Best,

Jenelyn
