Wiring question

fun4oli

Hi,

our old thermostat had these wires:

  • White wire from the wall to W connector
  • Red wire from the wall to RH connector
  • A "local" black wire inside of the thermostat linking the RH and RC connectors

I set up the Nest thermostat and connected the white wire to W and red wire to R.

I get an N260 error that the power supply is not sufficient (but the thermostat for now works). It says that I need a C wire.

Do I need to do something like what the black wire in the old thermostat did?

Thanks, Oliver
