Installing Nest thermostat and old unit has a jumper that is labled RC and RH do I need to have a jumper.

Also having trouble getting unit to bring up main screen to operate manually is it because I'm not set-up on my phone app.

Hi Et-1,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

With the Nest Thermostat, jumper wire is no longer needed between Rh and RC as it is automatically detected internally. If you're installing the new Nest Thermostat, you'll need to download and install the Google Home app and continue the setup process.

Check out this link to help you further during set up.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan
