I'm thinking about getting a nest thermostat to put on my worchester 8000 35kw life combi. I know that worchester boilers ant opentherm compatible and they use EMS bus to modulate the boiler flow temps. The nest would work as a on off thermostat but I would be losing a lot ot efficienty. Google support hasn't got a clue, all they say it should work and all I want to now if it will

My previous research on this suggested that Worcester boilers do not support OpenTherm. There is an "easy control adaptor" but it only converts EMS to OpenTherm and not the other way around. However, you should check yourself as my research was about a year ago.
