Y2 wire

Where should I plug the y2 wire or do I need to. I've read some other comments and they say to plug it into the O/B spot but I have an O/B wire. I'm mainly asking this because my system is having a hard time cooling

If you have 2 stage cooling then you should have a wire in Y1 and Y2. If you only have 1 Stage cooling (typical) then the y2 is not used.

O/b on my E stat is my 2nd stage cooling since I don't have the y2 spot. You would program the o/b port in equipment settings.

Depending on the model of thermostat you can have only dual stage heating or cooling. Otherwise you should have a y1 and y2 spot.

Hi folks,

@FDRTech, thanks for the help!

@matthewmcbro, how's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Could you also share a photo of both your old thermostat and your Nest Thermostat wiring?

Thanks,

Edward
