Yellow wire constant problem

Yellow wire constatntly says not connected.  I remove it, reconnect and its fine again.   This last anywhere from 3-4 hours.  Switching Nests, the other one has the same problem.  I'm guessing it's the base?  The wiring is fine, I've chacked the other en. Disconnecting and reconnecting the AC end makes no change in problem, only fixes it when I diconnect/reconnect the the Nest end.  New unit, did I get a lemon base?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. I'd like to take a closer look at it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. What are the exact messages or codes you keep receiving? Could you please send us a photo of your thermostat wires? Also, the wires that are connected directly to your HVAC control board.
