Yellow wire originally connects to Y/Y2 in Honeywell and Y1 is empty. Connect to Y1 or Y2 in Nest?

I'm replacing the Honeywell thermostats with Nest. The yellow wire is originally connected to Y/Y2 in Honeywell, Y1 is empty. I tried to connect it to Y2, but got an error during setup. I didn't try to ignore it, instead I wired it back to Y1, but I think it cools slower.

Should I connect it to Y2 and ignore the error if possible, or stay with Y1?
