away mode

my nest thermostat is on the main (2nd) level of my 3 level home. When i'm in the basement, everything is fine. For some reason when I go upstairs to the bedrooms my nest sets to away mode which means sometimes the ac does not turn on most of the night. Any idea why that is?

Hi Jake,

kind of still having an issue. The weather has been great so I really haven't needed to turn the unit on but it just never seems to come on when I am upstairs. The thermostat is on the main level and when I'm not on the main level the unit never comes on. Is that odd?
