Resolved! Nest wire issues

I’ve tried wiring it both with the conventional and heat pump designations without successfully getting the cooling to work. I’m not sure where to go from here. I have a unit outside and it seems like there’s a furnace inside as well?

Thermostat set up

After set up, it says that the heat should be on, but the AC is on instead - I am confident that I wired it correctly

Nest thermostat with Haier mini-split

Trying to find the easiest way to integrate my new Haier heat pump/AC mini split system with the Nest Learning thermostat. Anyone done this before? Trying to set it up to be dual fuel so I can have my legacy natural gas system on standby as a backup.

Jumper wire

My current Honeywell thermostat has W, G, Y, and R wires. It also has a jumper wire from R to Rc. I can’t find a clear answer if a nest thermostat is compatible. Can anyone help?

I have a household member that cannot keep Thier hands off the nest. Is there a way I can place a pass code that will stop this. Using Lexus and 1 Google device?
