my new thermostat appears in the home app but not in my nest app - why?

I've set up a new nest thermostat and it is appearing in my Google Home app but it's not connecting to my older Nest app that I use for my other homes and devices and I can't figure out how to get my new thermostat to appear in the old Nest app

Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting your thermostat to display inside the Nest app. I would be more than happy to assist you and provide more details.
