need a backplate to a gen three thermostat

Sadly I cannot snap my thermostat to its backplate. I have a gen 3 google nest thermostat, and I can not get this unit to snap on. Looks like one of the little clips on the inside of the thermostat?

Those back plates are not available in the store. I need a back played for my third generation nest thermostat
