no longer able to connect to my thermostat from my iphone

I am no longer able to access my nest thermostat from my iphone, your support group asked me to go to the thermostat and then settings to get an entry code. this option will not come up when I go to the thermos

this has been ongoing on for over 2 weeks, I have tried to make contact by phone with your support people and that is impossible as the messages are either "this number no longer available" or' the person you have tried to contact is not available"

Needless to say I am very dissatisfied  with the current Next customer service.

Could you please have a tech person call me with a solution?

Thank you,

Derek Hood

Hi folks,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you're having issue connecting your Nest Thermostat to your phones. Let me take a look at this for you.

@Hoodster, you can get the entry key of your thermostat at the back of your thermostat display; the series of numbers and letters below the QR Code. If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E, you can follow this add your Nest Thermostat to the Nest app guide. If you have the Nest Thermostat 2020, you can follow this get started with your Nest Thermostat guide.

However, if you've made the decision to talk to a live agent instead, you may contact our support by going to the Google Nest Contact Us page.

@NestlaysEgg, TD023 means that your thermostat may be out of range or powered off. Follow these (you may skip the ones you already did):

  1. Quit and restart the Nest or Google Home app.
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is on. Turn Bluetooth off, then back on to refresh the connection.
  3. Disconnect any Bluetooth devices that are connected to the phone to rule out any interference.
  4. Put the mobile device on airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  5. Restart the phone or tablet.
  6. Restart the joining and assisting devices.
  7. Move the joining device closer to the router, or the router closer to the assisting device.
  8. Try a different mobile device.
  9. Create a hotspot and try to pair again. Make sure that the device connects to the hotspot this time and not the home Wi-Fi.
  10. Create another structure in the Nest or Google Home app and try to add the device to the newly created structure.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe
