Hi there!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest thermostat. I understand that you just installed it some months ago and it was working really well, then it just started to lose power. You have already tried some troubleshooting steps but still have the same issue. No worries, help is here.

In order to give you the correct steps I need some extra information. Here are some questions for you:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • What is the make and model of your HVAC equipment?
  • What kind of batteries do you use on your Nest Thermostat?
  • How many wires do you have on your system?
  • Could you please provide a picture of the wiring?
  • Do you receive any error messages from the Nest Thermostat?

In the meantime, please try to change the batteries for some new batteries following the next steps;

  1. Pull off the thermostat display.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert the new batteries.
  4. Put the display back onto the base.

Note: We recommend you use Energizer AAA 1.5 V Alkaline batteries.

In the meantime, you can check the following articles for further information: Change Nest Thermostat batteries (Low battery message) and Troubleshoot when your thermostat won’t turn on

I will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel.
