Your Nest thermostat blinking green and orange can indicate a few things.

Software Update: This blinking pattern often signifies a software update or restart. Be patient, as it should resolve itself within a few minutes.
Power Check: Ensure your thermostat is properly seated on the base and the wiring is secure. If using a C wire, confirm it's connected.
Reboot: If the blinking persists, try a soft reboot by pressing the ring and holding it for 10 seconds. Don't worry, this won't erase your settings.
Factory Reset: As a last resort, consider a factory reset. This erases all settings and requires reconfiguration. Refer to your Nest manual or online guide for specific steps.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out — I'm sorry for the delay. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat screen or in the app? Also, in what country are you located? Please gather your thermostat's power readouts.

Check out the guide below:

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.

I appreciate your input, @steve81uk.

Best,

Jenelyn
