This is the usual problem that keeps coming up on the blogs/posts since 2018, but never seems to go away.
Suddenly the usage history doesn't update itself - there is usage, but the "hours per day" display says "no usage".
It seems to be a software failure because when you click on the day then it shows the detailed usage during that day, it just doesn't display the cumulative hours.
The display failure is on the iOS app and on the web browser.
Another strange aspect - although the display is showing today's correct date and time, on the thermostat itself when I click on settings/usage it says that "yesterday" was two days ago - which was when the problem started.
The problem started 2 days ago after a power dropout. Everything restarted as normal after the power dropout and the control behavious is completely normal.

The problem can be solved by deleting/removing the thermostat from your account then adding it again as though it is a new thermostat.
Don't forget to make a note of the access key code and heatlink code beforehand though, as you'll need them in order to re-add the thermostat to your account.
This is not really a "solution" though because it shows up that the thermostat hardware and/or software isn't robust enough to reset itself after some power shutdowns.
Google/Nest should do a software improvement, but I suppose they are "too busy" to bother !
