Hey guys,
I just moved into a new house that has ATT Fiber already installed.
I moved out from a house that I was renting and they had google wifi setup so I brought my own google nest point so that my gaming pc in my room would have an ethernet port access.
In the new house, the fiber wall mount is installed in the master bedroom. My gaming PC is in my office. I would rather not run a 50ft ethernet cable through the house, but instead utilize the google nest point in my office so that I can plug the ethernet cable directly into the nest point. However, when I setup the google point, it created an entirely new wifi SSID and password when I already have one setup through the ATT modem.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to avoid multiple network SSIDs and just one SSID where the nest point simply acts as an extender where I can directly plug my ethernet cable into?
Thanks!

Nest Wifi can't wirelessly connect to or extend other networks than Nest Wifi.
Maybe buy a USB Wi-Fi adapter, or a router that support client mode / media bridge mode, like Asus?
Or ethernet over coax (MoCA) or powerline?
