Can I use a Google Wifi Router as an Access Point for the newer Google Nest Wifi?

I ordered a Google Nest Wifi Router (we have Fiber) and will set it up once it arrives. But right now I saw a Google Wifi Router for <40 and would like to know, if I can set this older one up as an Access Point on the second floor?

Thanks for the update, Bonifaz3.

Just one more check in. Are you all set, or is there anything else I can do for you here? If there's any more I can do, just let me know.

Thanks!

Hey Jeff

I just got the Google Wifi router and tried to set it up but if I try to add a new device to my home it can't be found. Also, there's a blue flashing light first but after a minute or so it turns to a flashing orange (no internet connection). Have not tried to reset the whole home with all devices.
Any suggestions or tips?

Try to set up the new secondary while its WAN port  is connected to the primary/ master LAN port. Let it update and reboot after setup. Then unplug it and place it where you want.

Should be as easy as following this guide:

Hi, Bonifaz3.

Were you able to try setup in the manner olavrb suggested with the LAN port connection? If so, did that sort things out for you?

Thanks.
