Internet suddenly stopped working.  My Nest cannot get online with my NetGear CM1000v2 modem.  The only thing I can get to work is to reinstall my old NetGear router AND set its MAC address to that of my PC.  I am not sure why this is the case.  I would like to try to set the NEST MAC address to the same address.  Is there a way to do this?

Hey there Roy Robertson,
Sorry about the late response, but I wanted to hop in here to make sure your concerns were addressed. I'm sorry to hear about the concerns with the MAC address, I understand that these issues can be confusing and I'm happy to help.

After reviewing, I was able to find this article that will help you with any MAC address issues. Unfortunately the ability to change the MAC address does not exist however.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns as I'm happy to help.

Hey, Roy Robertson.

I’m just checking in real quick to see if we needed anything else here or if we were able to resolve the problem. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do here.

Thanks
