It looks like the nest wifi creates a new subnet under 192.168.86.x. This is different from my wired network so I can't access any devices from my wired computers. I would like to change the LAN IP to match my wired network. Every time I go into advanced settings and change it, it will revert back. What am I doing wrong here?
There are 3 routes you can take.
1. Put the nest in AP mode. This will prevent it from being in a mesh.
2. Get a switch and use the ethernet out and hook switch to it instead of using ISP equipment for ethernet.
3. Get a different mesh system such as UniFi that will do what you are currently trying to do.
I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw kiltguy2112's reply and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.
