Hi,
I'm considering purchasing a Google Wifi to use as a repeater with my existing system. I have a fantastic Netgear modem and Asus router but recently added devices to my basement and the wifi is weak down there. Could I use the Google Wifi as a repeater hub with my current setup to extend strong signal to the basement? I can easily install an Ethernet wire down there.
Thanks, Gonephishn32

It will not work wirelessly with any other system than Google Wifi and Nest Wifi. But it can work as a simple access point if you ethernet wire it to the Asus router, and set it up in bridge mode to avoid double NAT:
If you don't want to replace your existing router with Google Wifi or Nest Wifi, I'd rather buy something Asus that supports AiMesh.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I will look for a compatible repeater router.
