Last week I installed a new Google Nest wifi netwerk. Ik managed to connect almost all my devices but not my printer that I used to connect with a WPS button to my old router. But this method is not possible with the Nest wifi router.
Is there another method or is my printer too old?
Thanks for reaching out to the community about your question with your printer setup. I will be happy to help you out with that.
Due to security measures, the Google and Nest WiFi devices do not support WPS security. In order to use a printer that does not use WPA security, you will need to look at ways to wire it directly to your PC or any other devices that would be printing content. Wireless communication just won't be possible with the current setup.
If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know.
Thanks for letting me know what you did to get it working. While it's not ideal, I'm glad you were able to get things working. For now, I'll close this thread, but if a better solution presents itself, I'll reach out and let you know. If you need anything more, please feel free to open a new discussion.
