Connecting an older printer (Samsung Xpress 460W) to my Nest wifi netwerk?

Frank

Last week I installed a new Google Nest wifi netwerk. Ik managed to connect almost all my devices but not my printer that I used to connect with a WPS button to my old router. But this method is not possible with the Nest wifi router.

Is there another method or is my printer too old?

Hello, Frank.

Thanks for reaching out to the community about your question with your printer setup. I will be happy to help you out with that.

Due to security measures, the Google and Nest WiFi devices do not support WPS security. In order to use a printer that does not use WPA security, you will need to look at ways to wire it directly to your PC or any other devices that would be printing content. Wireless communication just won't be possible with the current setup.

If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know.

Thanks

Yes Jeff, I have found a workable solution where I start my old router for a while to get connected to my printer if needed. That's not perfect but it's workable.
Thanks for your interest!
If you or anyone else has a better solution of course I am still interested.
