Hi,
I have a nest router on my ground floor and have installed extra wifi points on the middle and loft floors to increase WiFi range.
I noticed a few days ago that the wifi points keep flashing orange and all the devices connected to the wifi seem to all be connecting to the main router on the ground floor and are struggling with signal with lots of drop outs.
In the Google home app when I check, there are no devices connecting to the points. I performed a factory reset on the wifi points and reconnected them to my home wifi. I have also reset the network on my phone to check that it is correctly using the wifi.
The wifi points are still flashing orange randomly and when I say “Ok Google” I am sometimes getting the response that she cannot connect to the wifi.
Is there anything else I can try to get my mesh network working correctly?
Thanks,

Hey @Emzyme20 .
Here is an article that details the light meanings just for FYI: Wi-Fi device light meanings: Understanding LED indicators
Please make sure that these issue scenarios aren't in play:
Where to place your Wifi devices
How to improve Nest Wifi Pro, Nest Wifi, or Google Wifi speed and performance
Also, there are known issues when setting up Google/Nest Wifi devices on an iOS device. Apple enables some settings by default that can cause setup issues.
Reset the points and follow this document: Troubleshoot setup with iOS
Please let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.

Thanks for trying to help. I ended up factory resetting the whole mesh (points and router) and it seems to be working again. Just frustrating that I have to do that once or twice a year to keep it functioning. The turning off and on does not suffice.
On a couple of the point resets, they didn’t even come back as wifi points. In the home app, they were showing as speakers only. I had to factory reset them again to get them to connect to the wifi and become wifi points.
probably time for me to look at wifi 7 mesh in 2025 as this is an old system but at least it’s working in the short term again.
