Every night around the same time my C by GE lights are unresposive to the google comand. Google home thinks it is connect and response with the affirmative "ding" but nothing happens with the light. After I reset my Google WiFi router, and everything reconnects, there is no issue, until next day.

Hey there Zak Cullum,
I'm sorry for the late response, but I wanted to jump in here to help. I understand you're having issues with your GE lights via the Google Home which can be frustrating, but I'm happy to help.

I was able to find that all that needs to happen is to reboot the Google Home/Nest Mini or Hub that paired the lights.
After unplugging and replugging the power, control through the Google Home app and Assistant devices should return. The underlying problem could be related to the direct Local Home connection between Assistant devices and compatible accessories.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know.

Hi, all.
Just one quick final check in here. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks for the insight, Neil.

For anyone still seeing the issue, go ahead and give the reboot on you Mini a try and see if it helps matters.

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue and have yet to see a permanent fix.

I believe I have found the answer. Factory reset all of the bulbs and devices THEN reconnect them to your system using the Cync app (the native app for the C by GE bulbs). Make sure they are connecting via WiFi, NOT Bluetooth. After connecting each device, transfer the control to the Google Home app. I did this 2 weeks ago and have only had 1 issue when the Cync servers were being updated (about 30 minutes). I didn't need to do anything then to restore functionality.

It has nothing to do with the bulbs it's the nest mini. Reboot the nest mini and that should fix it.
